Hannah Arendt can be defined as “the thinker par excellence of diversity”. Every subject is valid in its own diversity, through this diversity it puts itself in communication with the neighbor and with the neighbor intertwines a comparison starting from its own individual subjectivity. This is Hannah Arendt’s idea of the world and from this point of view the term alterity loses its disruptive force and also its basic ambiguity: to think of an “I” as a “strong subject that opens and accepts the other”. The invitation is instead to think of us all in a universal condition of otherness.
